The new Album #GoldbergReflections by violinist Niklas Liepe is a re:work / re:think of one of the most famous compositions by J.S.Bach, the Goldberg Variations.
A contemporary approach to Bach
After the successful collaboration with Niklas on ‘The New Paganini Project’, → Friedrich Heinrich Kern contributed ‘Reflections On A Dream’ to the outstanding project.

The recordings for the “#GoldbergReflections” were made in February in the Great Broadcast Hall of the NDR in Hannover. Together with the strings of the NDR Radiophilharmonie and conductor Jamie Phillips, Niklas Liepe recorded a new string arrangement of the Harpsichord Variations and eleven new pieces, by composers such as Andreas Tarkmann, Moritz Eggert, Friedrich Heinrich Kern, and Konstantia Gourzi.
The result is a magical and deeply impressive Goldberg Experience for violin and string orchestra, quite familiar and at the same time completely new.
